Why I Stopped Writing

I haven’t written anything in several months and I don’t have any excuses. There is nothing that I can reach out and grab to throw in front of me as the reason why I haven’t written. I chose not to, even though I wanted to. But why? It wasn’t a busy, hectic schedule. I didn’t neglect to write for lack of subject matter. The only thing that stopped me from writing, was me. I was afraid.

How to Suck at Life

The internet is saturated with self-help articles, books, videos, podcasts, and courses on how to become the most successful version of yourself. I’m going to approach this subject from a different perspective. Let’s explore how to be the most unsuccessful version of yourself. If you want to lose jobs, alienate people, become homeless and pretty much suck at life altogether, then this will be your little handbook of failure.

Have We Weakened the Power of Love by Overusing the Word?

Throughout my entire life, I have heard people overuse, misinterpret and absolutely adulterate the word love in the English language. Hell, I’ve even been guilty of it myself on multiple occasions. I can’t help but think that maybe we have weakened the power of such a significant spiritual force in the world, by overusing the word with very weak connotations.

The Social Media Effect

I believe most of us are aware that there is no such thing as a perfect person. But even though we are armed with this knowledge, perfectionism in our world continues to grow at a rapid rate.

Yes, maybe I did manifest this negative spiritual and emotional energy into existence by focusing too much on what I didn’t want, but please don’t tell me that.

Keeping it Real in a Fake World

In today’s society, it can be quite difficult to be or even know how to be, who you really are as an individual. You are presented with so many preconceived ideas and notions of who you are at such a young age, that it is easy to be confused about your authentic self.

You Are Not Alone

Pain is a necessary precursor to progress. All pain carries a message. Whether it be physical, emotional, or spiritual pain, it all has a message to deliver. The stronger the pain, the more urgent the message. In order to clearly receive and process these messages, we must first learn how to focus the mind.

The Insidious Problem

We as humans all have different cultural, socio-economic, and environmental backgrounds that tend to divide us. There are also many other should-be trivial things that separate us as a united people, such as; religion, race, gender, sexual preference, nationalism, profession, political affiliation, history, education, age, style, musical taste…the list goes on and on. None of these things really make us different from one another. Rather, the perceived differences between us are merely distinct qualities that make each of us an integral piece of the same puzzle. They are all just different facets of the same thing: a unique, diverse body of human beings.

When Having a Big Heart Makes You Feel Small

Are you a highly sensitive individual? Does it sometimes seem like you are surrounded by people who could care less about other people and their feelings? Do you feel alone and misunderstood most of the time? Do you feel like there’s something wrong with you because you’re not like everyone else?
