It can be extremely difficult to find the meaning inside of harsh circumstances, but the meaning can invariably be discovered when we are willing to search within. Nothing bad has ever happened without something good forming in its wake.

Letting go of Self-Hate
Over time I became bitter and deeply depressed. I began to lose touch with my wide-eyed boyhood aspirations of changing the world and slowly morphed into what I liked least about the world. I started hanging around with the “wrong people” and making very poor choices. I became hopeless.
Healing Through the Hurt
Everyone hurts. Everyone has been hurt by someone and everyone has hurt someone. It takes a great deal of strength and integrity to admit when you are wrong.
Fix Yourself First
With so many sick and suffering people in the world and so few willing to reach out and help them, it is a beautiful thing to see people helping others. One thing that we must be mindful of when helping others is not to become so focused on other people’s problems that we neglect to maintain our own well-being. Whatever message of hope or inspiration we may have for others can become diluted and lose its merit if we are not living it ourselves.
Practicing Gratitude Through Tough Times
You have probably heard it said many times that ‘gratitude is an action word,’ but what does that mean exactly? It means that if you are truly thankful for something or someone, you won’t have to say it for others to know it, because your actions will speak for you. It means that your actions are the evidence of your gratitude.
What if, YOU are the TOXIC one?
What if, you are pointing the finger at everyone else so you don’t have to look at yourself? What if, everyone seems to be against you because you have unwittingly placed yourself into the position of the ‘bad guy’? What if, you are stuck in a perpetual loop of self-sabotage and self-victimization and are unable to view things objectively? What if, you have problems wherever you go and with everyone you meet, because you and your self-centered thinking ARE the problem?
Fear is the Illness, Love is the Cure
Some people only want to see you suffering because they are suffering. Some people only hate you because they hate themselves. Some people only put you down, because they need to be lifted up.
Mistakes Are What Make Us
If there is one thing I have learned in my life thus far, it’s that I’m always going to have a lot to learn. That part of my life will never be finished. I will never graduate to the level of knowing it all, and I’m grateful for that because it would probably be pretty boring. Another thing that I have learned is that as long as I’m learning and growing, I’m going to make mistakes, and that’s okay. In fact, if I’m not making any mistakes then I’m probably not doing much; which is arguably in itself a big mistake.
